“Surabhi” #2

Featured image

So, here is another Typography of my name which I made back in 2013! πŸ™‚ The girl in my sketch isΒ ‘Cora’ from the movie ‘Astroboy’.. The reason why I drew her is that, I was way too much fascinated by her hair. Isn’t it cool guys? πŸ˜‰

Sorry for the bad picture clarity πŸ˜›

Paper used: A-4 size. About 100 GSM.

ColoursΒ used: Plastic Crayons, Pencil-colours and Chisel marker.

  1. It is very good! I love your “font” style and the fact that each letter is repeated within itself. Pastel colors always work well together and are particularly soothing on a shaded background. The girl is very cute and compliments your name in that she adds a degree of thoughtfulness to the picture.

However, by copying another creation severely handicaps both your own style and, of course, what you can do with the end result. You clearly are talented so perhaps, when the inclination next occurs, you could create your own “cute” character?

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment about my artwork, in absolute detail. I really appreciate that. πŸ™‚
Well yes, I agree. The girl is a copy work. But ahah.. this particular work is of 2013.. And as is human nature, I’ve improved a lot within the last two years! I’m constantly experimenting with new art style nowadays. So yeah, I’m also “creating” many characters of my own! πŸ˜€
But thanks to you for encouraging me with your wise words! πŸ™‚

  2. Beautiful colors and such an engaging style of art. I love it, Surabhi! There are so many messages I receive when looking at the piece. It says, quirky, energetic, campy and free. All character traits I think any of us would be lucky to have.
And I’m so digging the pink hair. One day … πŸ™‚
    Cheers!
