Abandoned.

“You haven’t got any idea how it feels like to be alone”ย – one of his friends cried out. “You’re always surrounded by someone or the other.” He was left with only a slight curve of his smile to offer, on the outside. Internally, it was a completely different scenario. There were series of various images flashing before his eyes – of all the times he had been abandoned, deserted and labelled as an outcast. Life is hard. But it always seems to be easy and peaceful; when furnished with a smile. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. What’s being lonely exactly? It’s being with your own self right? If you love your own self, you are in a good company then. How can you then be lonely if you love your own company. I’ve come to learn this the hard way, but after I did, life has got simpler.

    1. You’ve indeed explained the situation in a very wise way. Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
The lessons of life which we learn the ‘harder’ way, are often the ones that are engraved within us much deeper than the rest, isn’t it? We don’t usually forget these lessons as easily, compared to others.
Yes, our life is awesome when we’re in love with our own company. But then again, aren’t human beings ‘social’ animals? ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Very well said. This is one thing that has always kept me disturbed. I guess I’ll call that a security mechanism to ensure humans are somehow forced to live in the system which our creator has created. For instance, I’ve always wanted to leave the materialistic world behind and flee to a place which is completely natural, free from corruption, pollution, and no one bothering me. But then I realise it’s not a feasible idea. Having lived all these years amongst humans has made us somewhat mentally and emotionally dependant on our fellow humans. And offcourse then there is division of labour which makes us humans easen up our lives. If I were to go to the place where I always wanted to go, and be alone, chances are, I just might not survive. I’d need proper food, clean water to drink, medicines in case I fall sick, even a pen and paper if I just wanna pin down my thoughts etc etc…and all this isn’t possible without fellow humans. So how can man be completely free as long as he is a social animal. What if my happiness lies outside being a social animal…

        1. ‘What if my happiness lies outside being a social animal’, well then again.. it varies from person to person. No two humans think alike. Try investing more of your time in your hobbies (e.g. reading, drawing) if you tend to move away from the society. Being completely alone, doesn’t help. As is said, ‘an empty mind, is a devil’s workshop’. Practising your hobbies really does help during such times. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Well well.. that’s so unfortunate.. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
But if you look at the brighter side of it, perhaps you could just jump around the raindrops, splash some water onto your own self as well as others, wouldn’t it be a bit of fun? ๐Ÿ˜‰
