Even if all the gates flew open, she didn’t move outside. She saw that all of her companions took advantage of the situation to set themselves free; yet she didn’t waver even for a bit. She seemed to have grown accustomed to her illusory and ‘comfortable’ personal space. Her way of giving an excuse to something that demanded her to take a life-saving risk.

Yes, I have done this myself. Be cautious and avoid risky notions. But how can one fully enjoy life without taking a risk or two? What does one miss out on by succumbing to fear and maintaining the status quo? Quite a bit, as it may turn out. Ideally, one would have the ability to jump off the ledge, yet still have their safe space to retreat to when things get too crazy.

Yess, a very panicky situation indeed!
Well I can’t take the credits for the art, it’s a random picture from the internet. π

I would like to quote Tennessee Williams quote out her “We are all sentenced to solitary confinement inside our own skins, for life.” π

My goodness, is there any aspect of my mental life the Germans don’t already have a word for? Half the time, I’m not entirely sure what’s going on in my head myself. I’ll read about some German expression or other and suddenly I realize, “So that’s how I feel!”

Just one quick query – this is some medical student you’re talking of, right? Because this is pretty normal if that’s the case. Solitary confinement – for ten years at a minimum. Just you, your room and your books..

Hehehe.. I don’t know much about being a medical student. π
