A Little Introduction

Heeeelllooo dear readers!! I’m Surabhi Parab from Mumbai, India; also known as Suri on WordPress and Twitter. I’m an Electronics Engineer. I love gazing at the sky, be it day or night. I am moulding myself to be a voracious reader and a better writer. I love reading books- I enjoy both Fiction as well as Non-Fiction, but tend to stay away from horror and psychological thrillers. Book suggestions are always welcomed. Also, I love it when people share writing tips, because it helps me analyze my words through the eyes of the critics.

My other hobbies include sketching, doodling and listening to some light music. I click pictures of the sky/ nature/ books almost every day! Also, I’ve very recently started watching Anime movies, so if you’re a fan do drop in some recommendations.

— Suri

P.S.: Welcome to my blog! Enjoy your stay here.

        1. My dreams?
I want to become a writer and also a speaker. A person who can bring about a change in the world (I won’t mind even if ‘the world’ includes just 2-3 people. I would be more than happy to change/improve the lives of those people! πŸ™‚ )
          My nightmares?
Ah.. there are certain circumstances due to which I cannot completely ‘Be Myself’.. It’s like.. I constantly have to live for others.. But well.. it’s just a matter of time that I’ll manage to break through this shell & start living life to my own terms! πŸ˜€

      1. Suri, you said you are a teenager. I was blown away when I saw that. You are so mature, an old soul who seems to have lived ten lives before. Considering the nightmares, it’s remarkable that you have dreams. That is what made me say you are a strong person. Those dreams are your treasure. Shelter them in your heart and give them wings as often as you can. This is your life, Suri and you will live it on your terms. Never let go of that goal and your dreams. I am a Law of Attraction coach (and mom) and if you were interested, I would love to show you how to nurture your dreams and create that freadom and life on your terms. I am certain that you will achieve that on your own, but perhaps I could help you make it happen faster. If you like that idea, connect with me on skype – justgabms

You are the wisest, strongest teenager I’ve ever met. An awesome human being, bright shining soul, with a bright future and life ahead.

        1. Yes, I have had people telling me since childhood that I am little more matured for my age. πŸ™‚
Thanks a lot for your warm, encouraging & inspiring words.

I would love to connect with a wise soul like you. But unfortunately I’m not on Skype. Could you please share your email id? πŸ™‚

      2. Hi Suri, this won;t let me comment directly under your reply, so I just left it here.

I haven’t figured out how to send you a direct message, but let’s do this – since I can’t leave me email address here for everyone to see, let’s start with skype.

Go to this link and download Skype – . http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-windows/

Then send a connection request to me – my skype ID is justgabms – and we’ll take it from there. Skype is free to download and use.

    1. Oops! I missed one word in my last phrase. That’s why I really trust my Laptop more than my I-Phone. πŸ˜‰ So I was saying.. I’ll come back for sure to read more of your nice posts and you’re now a follower richer.

  3. You love dogs and chocolate. Hmmm…odd combination. LOL. Just kidding. That’s nice. Just don’t let the dog eat your chocolates…unless you like to share. Nice meeting you and thanks for liking my comment from the other blog…

  4. Thank you for stopping by my blog! I love your posts! I wish the English language had more words. We seemed to have the most limited vocabulary on Earth. There never seems to be a word that describes exactly what you want to say unless it’s in another language.

    1. Most welcome! Thanks to you too for visiting my blog! πŸ˜€
The English language has a lot many words already. Add some more, & people may soon start forgetting the basic English! XD

    1. The only thing that lets us say that we aren’t capable of something are the boundaries that we’ve set upon ourselves. Break out of those limitations & I’m sure that you can do whatever the hell you want in this world! Good luck & thanks for stopping by.. Keep visiting! πŸ˜€

  6. Hello there TwinkleSpark! I am very impressed with your blog. Nicely done. I just wanted to say hello and I’m very happy to hear you love dogs! My wife and I have a black lab Cody! Please visit my blog anytime to see a few adventures I’ve posted involving Cody…especially the one where he ate a hole in the novel I happened to be reading at the time. He told me later that the book had a great taste!

Hope you have a great day!

    1. Oh no. I can’t imagine what would I do if I’m put in a situation like that. I mean no! I really can’t!! I love dogs too much, but I even love my books to that extent. Perhaps that’s where the phrase, ‘Ignorance is bliss’ comes from! I might just have tried to ignore the damage caused by the dog! πŸ˜›

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog & sharing your views. Keep stopping by! πŸ™‚

      1. Oh, Cody is definitely one of the family here. My wife and I just got back in from Sacramento, CA, where we were visiting old friends. Our reunion with Cody was beyond happy. And we were just gone for five days. He’s a great dog. Thank you so much and oh, yes, you have a new blogger friend. πŸ™‚ Thank you and cheers to you!

      1. Would you mind sending me the link again? Or perhaps could you just tell me at what date did you write it? I couldn’t find it on your blog. πŸ™‚

      1. Suri, you can’t really learn how to express yourself like thins – ok, maybe you can, but it’s artificial. You either have it or you don’t, and you do. It’s a real talent and you must capitalize on it. It’s your gift from God. Keep using it.

  9. Hi, Suri – I enjoyed your distinction between your dreams and nightmares. It reminds me of the famous Tolstoy quote about happy families vs. unhappy families. Also, I totally stand behind the notion of reading to improve one’s writing. In the U.S. there are creative writing programs popping up like mushrooms, but it can be just as educational to develop a deep relationship to the writing by others that moves you most, I think. Good luck with your ambitions.
