It is quite common to read about people who, the more they get to know people, the less they like them. On a parallel course is the quote “The better I get to know men, the more I find myself loving dogs.โ (Charles de Gaulle). ๐

True. The more you get to know people, the more you learn about the dishonesty that you are living with.
And yes, of course, there is no better love than the love of a dog! ๐
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Good to hear from you after such a long time! ๐

When we are comparing people, there a part of us in them. So, when I do I compare with the sort of people I think I am.
Yes, there are a lot many people dishonest, not-sane, mad, irrational, all-the-negatives-we-hate. But there are others who keep us sane, who lend us that hand when no one does, who will be the pillars without our knowledge. So, yes may be turning insane in the right hands sounds far better.
Sry, I’m just trying to give the positive vibe.

Ah yes! I do understand what you’re trying to say! And thank you for the positive vibes. But you see, honest people are as rare as a Giant Panda these days! ๐ฆ
(No attempt at humour) But really, we don’t find honest people these days; it’s like there’s nobody whom we can actually trust to the core!

Trust comes in two ways. We let others feel vulnerable and see that void and fill it with our presence. Or we let ourselves vulnerable, yet cautious.
Honest people are rare, yes. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any. A lot of people are afraid of being vulnerable, to let themselves known, even when they want to.
It’s more like a leap of faith, in the dark, not knowing where we will land but sometimes we risk it, come what may.
And I hope, people are more honest with themselves first before being honest with others.

Hi Suri; There are many honest people out there in the world, but they don’t wear badges so you cannot see them. Sadly, honesty is does not sell news as well as dishonesty so you rarely get to hear about it. Have faith that while there is undoubtedly a lot of dishonesty in the world, there really are a lot of honest people in it also.
Think of it as similar to finding your perfect partner. As somebody once said “You may have to kiss a lot of toads before you find your handsome prince!” ๐
